In this month’s Nelson Tech Talk, Matt Terry presents:
3d Printing 101: Up and Running
Learn how to start 3d printing and create files ready for print, then watch a
Rep Rap print something.
Matt will cover:
• Workflow to print yourself or at Shapeways
• Blender, Slic3r, Printrun (possibly Octoprint and Raspberry PI)
• Some different types of 3d printers
• 3d Printing on a Rep Rap
Matt Terry <https://twitter.com/sphism> trained as an Industrial Designer in
the UK before following a career in web development.
He has always been interested in 3d design and built his first RepRap in 2013.
Since then he's made a small Shapeways shop and earned second place in the 2013
Blueprint Magazine 3d Printed Architecture competition, having his design
exhibited at London Design Week.
