may interested in/suitable for a remote Account Manager role, so of course, I
thought of you guys.
Here is the role description:
This job requires a particular mix of skill and style. Good Account Management
is all about empathy: your customer needs to feel that youâre on their team.
When they hurt, you solve their problem. You need to be comfortable holding
your own speaking with the CEO of a $50M/year business and liaising with the
product team as an advocate for your client. You are sincere and genuine in
each interaction - and they sense that, and love you for it. An Account Manager
at Shopify wears many hats:
A five star concierge: Plus is an enhanced-service. You wonât have all the
answers, but you know how to find them. You're a master of resources. You'll
liaise with developers, designers, Ops, Escalated support, Business Development
and more.
A business manager: Your customer will expect you to provide a solution to a
problem they donât even know they have. Itâs important to understand the
complexities of running an online business, even beyond Shopifyâs offering.
Relationship builder: Relationships are key in preventing churn and keeping
your customers committed to Shopify. Theyâll view you as a valuable member of
their team.
Leader: Youâll be working with a lot of people, both inside and outside of
Shopify. Youâll need to be comfortable taking ownership of many issues
simultaneously.
You can really whip out your social jiu-jitsu. What does that mean? Well,
people walk away from a conversation with you thinking "Damn! We just had an
awesome conversation! They - are - amazing!" You know this because you have the
most stealth-like intuition of how people react to your presence.
Requirements:
Location: Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong or Singapore
This is a remote position. You can work from a coffee Shop, Patio or the
comfort of your dreamy sofa so long as you have a DSL or Cable internet
connection.
Be available to work âbusiness hoursâ during the week.
Youâre someone who always goes above and beyond
You have a great sense of humour, have a strong desire to learn and are a great
communicator
Are not afraid to proactively help customers with potential troubles and see
things through.
