<http://www.ndf.org.nz/barcamp-registration/>
This is your chance to meet with colleagues in the IT and Cultural Heritage
sector, share your ideas and ask questions about the digital work of museums,
libraries, archives and galleries.
This is a great opportunity to tap into the minds of other people working in
digital spaces of our diverse, rich heritage/memory sector. Have you got an
idea you want to test out? Some questions about emerging digital technologies?
Come prepared to solve our problems together in a high energy environment.
Who is it for?
Anyone who works in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and
Museums), anyone who produces digital media projects for this sector (web
developers, app makers etc) or anyone with an interest in these areas.
What is it?
An ‘unconference’ where we plan out sessions on the day. Bring your questions,
suggestions, ideas for discussion topics and an open mind.
The first part of the morning will be set aside for presentations by people
from around our region to let us know what’s been happening in the digital
realm.
Simon Gutschlag, Chair of the newly formed Nelson Digital Futures Society will
be joining us give an update on the Nelson Region’s wider Digital strategy. If
you have something you’ve been working on relating to Digital Heritage that
you’d like to share with the forum, please get in touch.
The rest of the day is wide open and free for us to shape.
When is it?
Thursday 23rd July 10:00am – 3:30pm
Where is it?
The Nelson Provincial Museum, Education space
(crn Hardy and Trafalgar St)
